L’avis d’ébullition qui était en vigueur pour une portion de l’arrondissement de Saint-Hubert est maintenant levé. Les résultats des récentes analyses prélevées sur le réseau de Longueuil sont conformes. Vous n’avez plus à faire bouillir l’eau.

Toutefois, l'avis d'ébullition en vigueur est maintenu de façon préventive considérant que la Ville vérifie actuellement son réseau d’eau potable à la suite des travaux majeurs qui ont eu lieu la nuit dernière. Mercredi 17 avril 17 h 50 : Un avis d’ébullition d’eau est émis pour une portion de l’arrondissement de Saint-Hubert de même que l'ensemble du territoire de la ville de Saint-Bruno-de Montarville.
À noter qu'il n'y a pas eu d'échantillons non conformes. L'avis est émis en raison d'une baisse de pression de l'eau à la suite de travaux sur le réseau d'eau potable.
Quoi faire après la levée d’un avis d’ébullition?
Une fois l’avis d’ébullition levé, il n’y a pas de mesures particulières à prendre. L’eau demeure propre à la consommation. Toutefois, les précautions suivantes peuvent être prises, telles que mentionnées sur le site web d’Urgence Québec :
- Faire couler l’eau de tous les robinets d’eau froide quelques minutes. Suivre la même procédure pour les fontaines et abreuvoirs, s’il y a lieu;
- Vider, laver et désinfecter les machines à glace;
- Purger les robinets extérieurs;
- Dans le cas d’un appareil de traitement de l’eau, vérifier les mesures à prendre auprès du fabricant.

April 17 - 5:50 p.m.: The City Longueuil has issued a boil water advisory for a portion of the Saint-Hubert borough as well as for the municipality of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.
This measure is necessary due to a drop in water pressure caused by work on the drinking water network. Please note that no non-compliant samples were collected.
What to do once a boil water advisory has been lifted?
Once a boil water advisory has been lifted, there are no special measures to take. The water remains safe to drink. However, the following precautions can be taken, as mentioned on the website of Urgence Québec :
- Open all cold water taps and let the water run for a few minutes before using it, to enable the complete emptying of all piping. Follow the same procedure for drinking fountains and drinking troughs;
- Empty, wash and disinfect ice machines;
- Flush out garden hoses and outdoor taps;
- If you have a home water treatment device, follow the manufacturer's recommendations. However, it is not necessary to drain a hot water tank.
